Insta-Happenings

A big catch-up full of sunny skies and birthday smiles!

There's nothing better than a good book. I quite often have a browse of all the free Kindle downloads to see if there's anything good on offer. I stumbled upon 'My Story' by Emmeline Pankhurst recently and was curious! It's a really interesting read all her suffragette experience and how we reached 'Votes For Women' through the eyes of some one that was there. Worth a read!

Did you get involved in Glasgow's Style Mile Festival? It was a fantastic event running across a weekend with all sorts of things going on! I was lucky enough to get the chance to go along to a Make-Up Masterclass with Jamie Genevieve - it's all about the highlight life dontcha know. Can't wait for the festival to come around again next year!

Wooo blue skies! Summer is on it's way and for a wee while there Glasgow was bathed in sunshine and blue skies beamed down on us - more of this please.

We had a bit of a 'sister weekend' recently and of course this involved brunch. We went to the delicious The Pantry in Stockbridge. It was amazing. So cute and had a wonderfully friendly atmosphere, plus (all importantly) the menu was mouthwatering. I had a 'Smashed Avo Plate' with smoked trout and beetroot - can I go back this weekend?

What kinda of blogger would I be if I could resist snapping my toes on the prettiest of tiled floors - not a very good one.

And now for my love of Mom Jeans! If you didn't already read all about it you won't know about my latest obsession from the denim world. They're just so comfy and flattering - which I really didn't expect. I love pulling together outfits with my Mom jeans and this one's fast becoming a staple.

When Monday afternoon rolls around I always get a little tea craving and I couldn't help but dream about the adorable china tea-sets that I supped Green Tea out of at The Pantry - bliss.

And then my birthday week rolled around for another year - yaaa! To start the celebrations we popped open a bottle of bubbles and cheers-ed with bucks fizz in the sunny garden. I also used it as a chance to wear my new Zara dress. Zara can just do no wrong lately. The stripes caught my eye on this dress and then as soon as I spied the billowing sleeves I knew I had to have it.

Birthdays also mean flowers! This bunch are just perfect with the yellows and the corals - beautiful.

And birthdays mean presents! My wonderful works truly spoiled me with a little Chanel gift. Inside I was delighted to find the perfect pot of summer nail varnish. The colour, Turban, is and beautiful bright coral/orange that's perfect for summer I took it along to get a mani/pedi done later in the week and the stunning colour just shone on my holidays - thanks girlies!

And more beautiful Birthday flowers - how gorgeous are the stunning, vibrant colours of this bunch!

Holiday time! I'd been looking forward to jetting off to the sun for aaaaages and with a suitcase brimming with new swimming costumes, my perfect summer hat perched on my head and a billion summer reads downloaded I couldn't wait to relax under palm trees and blue skies. We spent a week in Anfi, Gran Canaria and it was absolute bliss!

While we were there we visited the sweetest place called 'Mogan'. We jumped off the ferry and a huge smile spread across my face when I saw how beautiful the village was. It was all white houses with different, brightly coloured windows and doors. But the best bit was the arches of bold and beautiful, brightly coloured flowers that draped over the alleyways. It was beautiful.

As with pretty tiled floors, beautifully decorated walls are also hard to resist snapping!

Back to the Mom Jeans! This outfit is just such a staple. It's the easiest thing to pull on at the weekend, a breton striped top and these denim wonders are the perfect combination. Just add a classic trench and knot a vintage-inspired scarf around your neck and you're good to go! I could genuinely wear this every Saturday...
